Do You Wish You Could Skate Up To Your Potential?
To Skate Great, You Need to Stop Fighting Yourself First
Read this if you want to:
Stop circling, popping and over-thinking jumps.
Skate consistently and nail your elements day after day.
Be confident, positive and face each day with excitement.
Focus on yourself and not care what your competitors are doing.
Know that you are making all the progress you are capable of.
Keep improving and skate clean programs the weeks before a competition.
Face each competition with excitement and confidence.
Serious competitive skaters put in countless hours of practice.
Their parents invest time and resources for years, and skaters don’t want to disappoint them.
Many figure skaters seeking mental skills training worry that they won’t be able to show their best skills in competition. They worry and stress so much that their performance starts to take a nosedive.
When a skater is in trouble, it is often a sign that it’s time to build their mental skills to support their technical abilities.
Success in skating is driven by three things, physical fitness, technical skills and mental skills. Most skaters spend all of their time on the first two, and only turn to mental skills training as a last resort.
But, there is a new breed of skaters who understand the importance of mental skills training whether they are in trouble or not, and are willing to put in the time and effort making them a part of their daily practice.
This course is an online educational experience designed to teach you the basics of mental skills training. This course is what you need to jump-start your journey to success.
The Champion Mindset course has been carefully designed to give you the best of, at-your-own-pace online learning, combined with one private 50 minute coaching session (current students pay $300 per session) to personalize the materials to your own specific situation.
Instead of just hearing the information, you will take the information and turn it into experience through carefully synchronized action plans. Allowing you to instantly put this new knowledge to work on the ice.
Your body’s (nervous system) natural stress response is essential when your life is in danger. But did you know that this very same stress response is the cause of many common performance problems and jump blocks (popping and circling) that skaters face daily.
The Champion Mindset Course:
Will help you understand the stress response in your body and how this manifests in skating problems out on the ice.
Will teach you how to deal with the stress response cycle when it starts, and how you can eventually prevent it from escalating in the first place.
This course takes a straightforward approach to making a mindset change. A fundamental shift in your perspective is possible because this material hits common problems at their source, the stress response cycle.
If you are searching for mental skills help, chances are these are not new problems for you.
Many skaters who look for mental skills training have tried things in the past with limited or unsatisfactory results:
Overthink to correct mistakes
Try harder
Skate more aggressively to stop popping and circling.
Force themselves to “just do it”
Add more on ice sessions and work to exhaustion to get unstuck.
Try to focus longer and harder, hoping to stop making mistakes in their programs.
Fake it till they make it to be confident.
Try to think only positive thoughts.
Rather than giving you a long laundry list of different strategies to use for each of these problems, the Champion Mindset course hits the underlying cause at the source, making change easier.
Similar to when your dog has fleas. Instead of chasing down and killing each individual flea, it is much more efficient to hit the source and wash the dog with flea shampoo.

If you are struggling on the ice, the first question to ask yourself is:
Where will I be with my skating in a year if I don’t take the time to work on my mental skills?
Yes, mental skill training requires you to devote some time to learning and practicing, but all of my students feel that the time they spend is worth it.
That said, you might be surprised that the time is not nearly as much as you might imagine.
Mental skills training complements your training on the ice. Most of the exercises and techniques are done while you are training. They make your practice on ice more effective and satisfying which gives you more motivation and energy to practice.
During the Champion Mindset Course
Off the ice time investment:
Course time investment:
Consume all at once, (videos only 1-1.5 hours) then weekly action plan practice (7-20 minutes).
or 7 weeks (up to 20 minutes per week)
Occasionally you will add 5 minutes a day to do an exercise off the ice to boost your learning.
On the ice you will carry out your action plan as you are practicing.
The ultimate goal is to use your mental skills automatically every minute you are on the ice. This is a process that becomes a habit through repetition.
If you have questions about the lessons, please contact Coach Pomai.
During your 50 minute session, Coach Pomai will tell you how to use the course information for your specific problems.
At any time, you can email your questions or concerns.
Don’t be like me (when I was a new skating parent) and spend years of trial and error, or needless worry and frustration chasing down and piecing together strategies to help your skater reach their goals. I’ve done it all for you. Parents call me their “best kept secret.”
But mindset training is only a secret if you don’t use it. The Champion Mindset Course is available to everyone, but only a few will use it. Those who do will have the edge over their competitors. No secret.
Be on the cutting edge, part of the new breed of competitive skater who treats their mental game training as seriously as they do their technical skills, because they know their success depends on both.
You don’t have time to waste sifting through all the information from Google searches or listening to theories tossed around at the rink. You hired an expert to teach the technical part of skating, get started with expert information on Mental Skills Training.
You work too hard on your skating to let this one thing go.
Start your Champion Mindset journey as soon as possible. I’ll be there to help guide you and set you up for long-term success.
See you soon!
